Importing and Exporting 2D and 3D Geometry
If you're working with architectural drawings, you will probably import DWG, DXF or IFC files. You can also import PDF files and use them as a base layer to model on top of, but be aware that PDF scaling can be inaccurate. Imported images can be applied to components as a simple image, a material texture or a matched photo from Google Earth. See the SketchUp documentation for more information about working with image files.
