Working with Jigs

  • Set your default SketchUp template units to inch or cm before working in MAKE.
  • Don't change the units in a SketchUp model after creating MAKE operations.

Jigs are reusable building block components used to apply standard operations to panels. Dowel boring, line boring, and any other operation that you use frequently is good candidate for a Jig. Most often Jigs are parametric components that position themselves by being dragged and dropped onto a panel.
